Please introduce yourself and your role

My name is Collin Cillis and I am working at STADA headquarters in Bad Vilbel for 7 years. Today I am a Manager Portfolio Management focusing on Generics. My main tasks include the identification and evaluation of new product ideas for STADA’s global generic product portfolio. In addition, I prepare business cases in close cooperation with global and local stakeholders as well as project presentations to a decision platform. Strategic and risk assessment of pipeline products, pipeline reviews and prioritization are also part of my major responsibilities.


What excites you about your current role and how did you get there after starting your career in the STADA graduate program?

As the Portfolio team has grown steadily and significantly since I joined them in 2017, respective responsibilities were modified over time. I like this challenge of my work, particularly the change of our team with flexibility and decisiveness as part of our ongoing journey. Being the responsible key contact person for portfolio related topics and supporting local teams to build great portfolios, I am excited to shape our future growth every day.

My career journey at STADA started as corporate student in October 2013. After successfully completing my business studies in September 2016, I started as a Junior Analyst in the International Market Research team, mainly dealing with requests from national and international stakeholders within STADA.

In March 2017, I moved internally to Portfolio Management starting as a Junior Manager in Portfolio Management, where I became a Manager in Portfolio Management Generics only 12 months later.


What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the way I was able to build up my extensive network within STADA. As a corporate student, I followed a rotation program and discovered all of the most important departments during a three-year dual training program. The many contacts in different areas and countries help me tremendously in my daily work today.

I am glad to work in a diverse international and cross-functional environment every day managing all kinds of challenges. Our actions are always based on our core values to drive new ideas. Together, we established a strong One STADA portfolio community. A great example is the participation in the One Portfolio Conference with over 90 portfolio managers from more than 30 countries, which was a great experience for everyone. At work, I always remember the quote from our CEO Peter Goldschmidt, "Portfolio management is the engine of the company", and act accordingly to strengthen the STADA pipeline and achieve STADA's growth ambitions.

Apart from this, our Mission "Caring for people's health as a trusted partner", not only refers to our customers, but also to our employees in the same way. Especially in the current COVID-19 situation, safety is STADA’s highest priority. For me it is important to feel safe and to be able to rely on my employer during challenging times like these.

What is the most crucial part of STADAs company culture? What are your favorite things about the STADA office site in Bad Vilbel?

Our strong values Integrity, Entrepreneurship, Agility and ONE STADA are key for STADA’s great culture and are consistently lived through all areas worldwide. Particularly, ONE STADA in combination with Integrity supports the open-door policy and enables cross-functional collaboration globally.

My personal favorite thing about STADA headquarters is the canteen with a good price-performance ratio - sitting together, exchanging ideas with colleagues and having a good lunch.
