• STADA and Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited (SBP Group) subsidiary Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group (CTTQ) enter into an exclusive partnership to expand patient access to biosimilar medicines across multiple territories
  
  
• The collaboration includes pembrolizumab, a proposed biosimilar to US$30bn+ Keytruda® reference brand for various cancer indications, as well as options to add up to three additional biosimilar molecules across oncology and immunology indications

Bad Vilbel, Germany/Nanjing, China – 28 September 2026 – STADA Arzneimittel AG, a leading healthcare and pharmaceuticals company specializing in Consumer Healthcare, Generics and Specialty pharmaceuticals, and China-based multinational pharma group SBP Group, through its core innovative pharmaceutical subsidiary CTTQ, today announced a strategic biosimilars partnership designed to significantly broaden patient access to high‑value biological medicines in key markets.

The collaboration comprises CTTQ developing, manufacturing and supplying biosimilar candidates for which STADA will hold the marketing authorizations and have exclusive sales and marketing rights in the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Furthermore, STADA will hold options for the US and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.

Included in the collaboration, which contains milestones and profit-share provisions, is the molecule TQB3570, along with a framework to add up to three further molecules. TQB3570 is a proposed pembrolizumab biosimilar to the Keytruda® reference product, a PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor which in 2025 generated global sales in excess of US$30 billion[1] across a broad range of oncology indications. Pembrolizumab, including quality-assured biosimilars, is included in the World Health Organization (WHO) Model List of Essential Medicines[2]

CTTQ’s TQB3570 pembrolizumab biosimilar candidate is currently in development, with a strategy to secure marketing authorizations ahead of biosimilar market formation in key territories. The company already has eight biosimilars approved in China, with several more in development, and is building on the group’s strong track record of out-licensing and regional collaborations for innovative drugs to globalize its biosimilars portfolio through proven partners such as STADA.  In doing so, it is leveraging its innovation capabilities and large-scale manufacturing advantages, with a current biologics manufacturing capacity of 126,000 liters[3].
