Bad Vilbel
, 31 March 2021 – STADA’s cultural journey is continuing based on the strong results in its latest employee survey. A record of 85% of all STADA employees, i.e. more than 10,000 employees worldwide, took part in the fourth survey conducted within one year. More than 80% confirmed that they were fully motivated and proud to work for STADA. Furthermore, 90% were confident that STADA would also achieve its business goals in 2021. “This confirms that STADA is on a good path towards an entrepreneurial, agile growth culture,” comments STADA CEO Peter Goldschmidt.

In the view of the STADA chief, the Human Resources function and its Global HR Head Simone Berger have played a significant role in this successful transformation process. In order to bring this cultural change even more to the fore, the Executive Board team around CEO Peter Goldschmidt will be expanded to include Simone Berger from 1 April 2021. The Cologne native, 42, joined the team as Head of Global Human Resources (CHRO) at the beginning of 2019 to drive corporate culture and talent development worldwide.

"Our ambition is no less than creating the best team in our industry with a strong growth culture. Thanks to Simone’s outstanding performance as Global Head of HR, we are already on a very good path in this regard and have now become a real magnet for talents on all levels. In addition, with Simone's appointment we are underlining the importance of our employees as STADA’s greatest values and guarantors of growth," says Goldschmidt in welcoming the reinforcement of his Executive Board team.

Simone Berger adds: "The fact that topics such as personnel development and growth culture will be anchored at Executive Board level at STADA in the future is an important step for the further development of the Group and a strong signal to our employees. With an open and future-oriented culture, I will support the company in successfully continuing STADA’s recent growth story."

Meanwhile, CEO Peter Goldschmidt (56) has extended his contract early by three years until 2024. “We are on a fantastic journey together with our 12,500 employees worldwide. Not only have we modernised the corporate culture at STADA based on our values Agility, Entrepreneurship, Integrity and One STADA, but we are also growing significantly faster than our competitors,” said the CEO, who has been in office since 2018, looking ahead to a successful future. Under his leadership, group sales in 2020 increased by 18% to more than three billion euros in a market that hardly grew, and EBITDA adjusted for special effects rose by 15% to more than 700 million euros.

STADA’s Executive Board thus consists of a total of four members as of April: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Wolfgang Ollig (53) and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Miguel Pagan (55) complete the quartet. In addition to Goldschmidt, Pagan also extended his contract as CTO by a further three years until 2024. A native of Madrid, Spain, Pagan is responsible for STADA’s more than 400 suppliers and partners worldwide and manages the Group’s more than 20 production facilities with around 6,000 employees.

Supervisory Board Chairman Günther von Au is also pleased with STADA's development. ”Peter Goldschmidt and his management team have achieved a lot in recent years and have put STADA on a strong growth course. Continuity and a growth strategy are needed to continue this positive development. This is what Goldschmidt and his team stand for,” von Au is convinced.
