Employee Attraction & Safety

At STADA, workplace safety is a core principle. We follow global labor standards to make sure working conditions are safe, fair and ethical across our sites. Health & Safety is part of our HSE systems, used globally and locally, to protect our colleagues and contractors. We encourage colleagues to report unsafe situations through our Near Miss Program, and we investigate these reports and take action to reduce risks. Eight of our production sites are certified to ISO 45001, an international standard for strong health and safety management at work.

Attracting and keeping top talent is key to our growth. Our goal is to build and develop the best team in our industry. In 2025, we launched our new global employer brand and campaign, “Grow your own way”. It reflects our culture and what it feels like to work at STADA, for both current and future colleagues, and focuses on supporting individual, personal growth.

Learning is a cornerstone of our culture. STADA colleagues worldwide can use our online learning platform, which offers more than 800 mandatory trainings and optional learning resources. In 2025, use of these trainings grew by 7% (measured in training hours), showing that colleagues are making growing use of these development opportunities.
In addition, we run various talent development programs for different seniority levels, beyond personalized development plans.

The STADA Value Awards, presented twice a year, further strengthen our culture of growth, learning and empowerment, and provide an opportunity to celebrate the many individual contributions of our colleagues.

Uniqueness and Equal Pay

A core part of STADA’s culture is the belief that diversity of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences is a strength. It helps reduce blind spots, supports creativity, improves decision‑making and allows us to better align our products and services with customer and market needs.
We want to create an environment based on equal treatment, while at the same time highlighting each person’s strengths. As an international group with sites in more than 40 countries and around 12,400 employees from over 80 nationalities, cultural diversity is part of who we are. We aim to make the most of these diverse strengths, for example through better conditions for internal mobility, effective succession planning and the early identification and promotion of talent.

Access to Medicine & Health Promotion

As a manufacturer of consumer healthcare products, generics and specialty medicines, we help improve the health and well‑being of patients and customers through a broad range of affordable medicines. Our products are available in more than 100 countries, reach over 40 million people in low- and middle-income countries, and include around 20% of the medicines on the WHO Essential Medicines List. These figures show how closely access to medicine is connected to our purpose ‘Caring for People’s Health’.

The quality and safety of our products and processes are our top priority. They are the foundation of our business as a trusted healthcare company. We follow all relevant laws, regulations and industry standards – across our research laboratories, clinical trials, manufacturing plants and distribution centers – to ensure that our products are scientifically sound, safe and effective, and meet both regulatory requirements and our own internal standards.

Beyond our regular supply, we are working to set up our medicine donation programs in a group‑wide structure, so that donations can be made quickly and in a consistent way. In this context, we strengthened our partnership with Direct Relief, an international humanitarian organization that provides medical help to people in need, often in emergencies or disasters. In 2025, we successfully piloted the donation of the oncology medicine bortezomib via Direct Relief to the Uganda Cancer Institute, supporting treatment for around 1,000 patients.

We also support education on the proper use of our products and promote public health, prevention and self‑care. The STADA Health Report is an important tool to understand the needs of patients and healthcare institutions and to follow trends in healthcare and individual health. It also provides a platform to discuss how to improve public health with policymakers, healthcare institutions, associations and other partners.
