STADA employees give Christmas gifts to Romanian children
12/03/2013 . Press Release
Bad Vilbel/Gründau, December 3, 2013 – Together with its employees, STADA wrapped up a big Christmas package: while the pharmaceutical group supports the health center of a children's village in Timisoara, Romania with EUR 30,000 a year, employees donated Christmas gifts for the children that live there.
Stiftung Kinderzukunft (children's future foundation), which operates the children's village in Timisoara, will use the donation from the company headquartered in Bad Vilbel primarily to ensure medical care. In addition to approximately 2,700 visiting hours a year, doctors and nurses offer an on-site health station and medical check-ups in schools. “We count on reliable donors to be able to provide this care”, says Hans-Georg Bayer, Managing Director of the foundation based in Gründau, Germany. “The donation from STADA allows us to cover ongoing costs of the health center in Timisoara.”
Bayer is especially pleased that STADA's employees once again wrapped up presents for the children in Romania. According to Manfred Krüger, Chairman of the Worker’s Council, several hundred packages have been collected since 2011. “It is great to see how our collection points have once again filled up with colorful Christmas packages over the past weeks. We know from the past that we really make the children in Timisoara happy on Christmas. I wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to my colleagues for that”, says Krüger.
