In 1895, the founders of the Professional Community of German Pharmacists (STADA) set a goal to care for the well-being of its patients by preparing certain medicines in accordance with standardized guidelines. Since then, the preservation of society’s greatest asset, health, has been the focus of business activities throughout the Group. To this day, STADA contributes to efficient and affordable health care and preventive health care while, at the same time helping to ease the burden on health-care systems.

 As an internationally-active health-care group, STADA has been assuming responsibility for its employees, society and the environment for 125 years – because responsible action as well as socially and ecologically sustainable management are the foundation for long-term success. In this Non-Financial Report, STADA provides information on significant non-financial aspects for financial year 2020, on the aspects that are necessary for an understanding of business operations as well as the earnings and position of the Group.

The Non-Financial Reporting for STADA Arzneimittel AG and the Group has been prepared within the scope of a Combined Separate Non-Financial Report pursuant to Section 289b of the German Commercial Code (HGB) in conjunction with Section 315b HGB and in accordance with Section 315c in conjunction with Section 289c through e HGB – published as a separate chapter within the Annual Report 2020.

Taking the requirements of the CSR Directive Implementation Act as a basis and against the backdrop of its business model, STADA’s Non-Financial Report includes the following aspects: product safety and quality (social matters), contribution to society (social matters), responsible corporate governance and compliance including anti-corruption and anti-bribery measures, employee matters, health, safety and environmental protection as well as observance of human rights.
